HI I downloaded Audio Sandbox and found it completely easy to install and use. The only thing I might suggest is that you allow the app to be shrunk to the size of a gadget. Once options are selected (I like the function that recognizes when you are using headphones), you pretty much only need volume control.
I just downloaded the audio lab for a comparison, and will be happy to comment on it. Thanks, Jack

I downloaded the Sandbox but it would only work on the widows media player not on any sites i'd go like youtube or similiar ones?Don't play games on my pc only listen to music.Wouldn't work when i would go to online radio stations i like and play music there. The controls, slider switch up/down made no difference.I've already deleted it off my pc.If you can explain to me exactly how to get it to work let me know and i'll give it another shot.I'm running windows XP. Ken in PA.

Pimp Your Tunes
Sandbox is Super! My already good sound is now my wonderfully big, deep, rich, clear, amazing sound. The price comparison for hardware that would do the same thing this software does makes its already reasonable price a steal. I would most definitely recommend that you pimp your tunes with Sandbox. You will not be disappointed.

Not bad.
My laptop I could not hear very well, sound and music was always too quiet, I downloaded this and now, I have awesome sound that I can actually hear. Can't believe it's my computer. Sounds 3xs as loud now as before and I actually have room to turn up louder now. Was really impressed.

Imagine good title for a review.
Well, it features some sound-enhancing modes; I was most impressed with the focus and elevator function, that make your speakers sound farther away from each other (stereo enhancing effect, but not the way that the stereo image gets amplified, so that sounds that are louder on the left, are even more concentrated on the left, but that the space between the speakers seeems wider, even with mono material) or make the sound seem coming directly from your monitor, instead of below from the speakers.
Sound-wise the image is also bettered, but I'm definatly missing an equalizer (a standard even in the cheapest programs) because the treble still made my head ache eventually, even with bass enhancer enabled. I'd still have to use the winamp equalizer, which I had to turn off switching to headphones, a hassle, which I hoped can be overcome by saving equalizer settings separately for headphones/speakers in Sandbox.
In all, the effect is impressive if heard for the first time, but you won't sit all day thinking 'my audio sounds so cool now', because you'll only notice the effects if you switch the sandbox off and on again. If playing electronic music loudly, the sandbox probably can't prevent the shallow laptop speakers from making your head ache, but with a more professional equipment, I imagine the sandbox really pays it's price.

Follow up to install problems, no audio.
I went to restart my computer today several days after failed success with srs and found that my previous hdmi audio driver was disabled and gone. Thanks, I had to system restore to get out of that one.

Failed installs, problem realtek and itunes.
I have a MSI motherboard k9AGM2 with realtek onboard sound which outputs to onboard hdmi. Realtek audio software. I Have Vista 64bit. Also, prefer iTunes as my media player. The download link would not install, didn't give any warnings and acted as if it had installed but no evidence (ie. Program files, desktop icon, control panel add/remove progs, etc.). Googled symptoms and found a link for the 64 bit version. Installed it, but after an hour of BS trying to get the program to work, when I finally opened it my audio was dead couldn't even switch back to Realtek audio, so uninstalled SRS. I mean Wow!... Not! The interface looks a little old school anyway.

Great Enhancement
I have a lot (really a lot) of music on CD and am copying them to I-Tunes.
I listen to the music through my HiFi installation. It really improves the sound which i thought was already good. With a good headphone i think t.his is for now as good as it gets.
SRS Audio Sandbox is to my knowledge one of few enhancement programs that work with all players. There are others but most of them don't work for I-Tunes.
